Arcade

Arcade is a creative art workshop for LGBTQ+ youth. Supported by Elsewhere Art Museum, the workshop is inspired the founders grand mother’s chaos of a thrift shop. She hoarded assortments of items over her life and those items are what artists use to make art in the museum. The design concept embraces the turmoil of their emotions and confusion, which feels like a chaotic collage. This helps bring to life their individuality, art, and stories.

Designed and inspired by the organized chaos connection between Elsewhere’s roots as a thrift shop, fighting against societies programming of what is “gender and sexuality”, and the personal lives of the LGBTQ+ youth.
